DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE

To maintain and enforce strict discipline within the college campus. All the students should wear their ID Cards while they are in the campus and their respective class rooms. In case of any violation of dress code or disturbance in the class, the ID card will be confiscated from the student which will be handed over to the student on the same day with a warning and advice from the Disciplinary Committee Members. Enforce total prohibition of cell phone usage by the students within the college campus. Please note that cell phone is prohibited in the college campus and if a student is found carrying a cell phone, it will be taken away and handed over to the Principal for future action.

GRIEVANCE AND REDRESSAL CELL

To redress the grievances of numerous students in Queens College of Arts and Science for Women who come from far and near an exclusive Students Counselling and Grievance Redressal. Cell has been introduced. The students' problems are redressed at the earliest mediated by the Cell. Availability of relevant and accessible information coupled with professional guidance to utilize the same would result into better career achievements outside the classrooms and help in the health progression of our students.

 

ANTI – RAGGING COMMITTEE

Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. In order to eradicate it, Hon’ble Supreme court in civil Appeal No: 887 of 2009, passed the judgement wherein guidelines were issued for setting up a central crisis Hotline and Anti-Ragging database. In accordance with the orders, UGC (University Grants Commission), Govt of India has developed this web portal in colleges.

MAGAZINE COMMITTEE

This Committee consists of 2 Members of the Teaching Staff from the Departments of Tamil & English this Committee invites original articles, research reports, cartoons, short-stories, jokes and translations, collections and reproductions from the students and the staff. It scrutinizes them and selects suitable articles for publication. Students are also involved in this activity

The examination committee of the college or responsibility of smooth conduct of examinations for all the courses and maintenance of student’s records etc., Examination committee advises on all matters relevant to university examinations, including time tables, timing, content, and evaluation (internals and other) of exams

The charge of the Scholarship Committee is to oversee the annual scholarship and to ensure the timely and fair disposition of scholarship funds. To ensure convenience in travelling for its students and faculty queens college of arts and science for women Punalkulam has constituted a Transport Committee. The bus service operates on all working days, at fixed timings

 

 

COUNCILING AND GUIDENCE

Counseling refers to a professional advice given by a counselor to an individual to help him in overcoming from personal or psychological problems. Guidance is preventive in nature, whereas counseling tends to be healing, curative or remedial. Guidance assists the person in choosing the best alternative.
